Already some big players in the market and some are seriously contemplating of entering into this highly competitive segment. I am giving below a small comparison which I feel may help you in making up your mind. This was the first and the till date the true cc sports motorcycle in India. In India the biggest thing that goes against this motorcycle is its price tag. Its cc parallel twin power plant churns out 33 bhp rpm and a 22 Nm of torque rpm which makes it a rocket on the road.
To cool this monster off it houses an all new liquid cooling Desno radiator. It can attain a speed of in just 3. The handling is superb and it takes the corners with an ease. Thanks to its dual throttle valves it responds very well across the rev range. It looks great in all colors but its flagship green color is the best. What I would like to be changed is its dated speedometer and an ABS as standard.
The instrument cluster is comprised of speedometer, trip-meter, tachometer and fuel gauge, turn indicators, high beam, low fuel, low oil, high oil temperature, choked air filter, and low battery indicators. The only thing that goes against this gorgeous speed demon is its price tag. Mind you the GTR is fun but just not fast enough as I expected. The gearbox is just about average and our test bike did not shift as smoothly probably since it was being ridden hard day-in and day-out.
Ride, Handling and Braking — The Hyosung GTR not only replicates its elder sibling in styling, it also does it in terms of other bits and pieces. The tyres are made by Shinko and do the job very well, offering very good grip levels. The GTR uses a pressed steel frame but weighs close to kgs. The weight along with the long wheelbase does blunt handling but not to a great extent.
The front feels slightly heavy and changing direction quickly needs some effort. The Hyosung GTR does not feel agile enough and riding in the city can get difficult at times. But one must not forget that the GTR is a bigger bike in dimension than any other cc machine and thus offers the big bike feel. It feels extremely composed at triple digit speeds, firmly planted to the road.
The turning radius is extremely large as you can see me take a U-turn above and the riding position is too sporty for city commute. What do you think? Motorcycle Finder:. Model: Model View All. Related Manufacturers. Active filters:. Hyosung GTR. Read full bio.
